HitchBar
A tailgating setup in development for serving, organizing, and gathering around the back of the vehicle.
Discover HitchBarBorn in Pawleys Island, South Carolina
HitchOut is developing hitch-mounted setups for tailgates, outdoor meals, and the moments that bring people together.
The space behind the vehicle, reconsidered
Some of the best days begin at the back of a vehicle—with food coming out, friends arriving, and everybody finding a place to land. HitchOut is exploring a family of setups designed around that moment.
The lineup
Every product shown here is a concept in development. Configuration and specifications are not final.

A new gathering place, in development.
HitchBar is being shaped around the rhythm of a tailgate: arrive, unpack, settle in, and welcome the next person who walks up.
These are development themes, not finalized features or performance claims.
Cooking setup
The outdoor kitchen idea, hitched to the occasion.
Hitchen explores the flow of outdoor cooking: bringing ingredients, organizing tools, preparing food, and serving the people nearby.
No cooking appliance, heat rating, sanitation performance, or food-contact claim has been established.
Custom Setups
HitchOut is exploring configurations centered on gathering, cooking, occasions, and personal expression. Custom Setups are concepts only; no orders, commissions, deposits, or design requests are being accepted.
No team, school, league, beverage, or event affiliation is implied.
Our story
Years ago in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, Doug and his father built a prototype together. It was a hands-on project: an idea made real through time, work, and the satisfaction of figuring something out side by side.
People who encountered the prototype repeatedly asked about getting one of their own. Those conversations were encouraging signals—not proof of a market, but a reason to keep exploring.
Today, that original project is the starting point for HitchOut. The heart of it remains unchanged: make the space behind the vehicle feel like a place people want to gather.
Thoughtfully in development
HitchOut is working through how each setup should function, fit, and feel. Vehicle compatibility, complete empty mass, load capacity, road-use status, materials, pricing, availability, and production timing are not established.
The current feasibility baseline studies a third-party swing frame with a lightweight flush marine-style box. That is a direction for engineering work—not a selected production configuration.
